Deema Jad recounts her family’s repeated displacement from their home in Gaza – first to the south in Deir Al-Balah and then to Rafah. She talks about the daily living conditions in all places, the complex ways of existing and relating under these conditions, and the forced decisions that were made throughout these months. She and her father evacuated to Cairo in mid-April. The rest of the family stayed in Rafah.
